The Working Group of Beijing High-Level Autonomous Driving Zone Promotion released the "V Partner" Plan of the Beijing High-level Autonomous Driving Demonstration Zone on April 13.

The "V Partner" program is derived from Vehicle, VIP and Visa.

"V Partners" enjoy enhanced rights and obligations.

They are required to provide partner members with exchange platforms and cooperation channels for policy discussions, technical seminars, industrial development and other advantages through organizing salons, forums, road shows and other activities.

In terms of their rights, "V Partners" can enjoy policies issued by the demonstration zone and the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) in priority.

They can also obtain accelerated approval channels to carry out road tests, demonstration applications and commercial operation services for intelligent networked vehicles in the demonstration zone.

"V Partners" will receive prioritized support for their new technologies and products and will be offered various infrastructure resources in the demonstration area. They will also be able to participate in the research of standards, policies and regulations.

A number of leading companies have already joined the plan. 

Sixteen companies including BAIC Group, Beijing Baidu Netcom Technology, JD Logistics Group, Pony.ai, Didi Autopilot, Idriverplus, Neolix and Trunk.tech launched the "V Partner" program together as the first members.
