Recently, the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality rolled out 15 measures to support the international development of the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA).

The BDA also formulated 11 supporting measures.

In terms of industrial development, the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office will support the BDA in building a high-level international exchange and cooperation platform, and help guide high-quality foreign investment projects to settle there.

Overseas enterprises, capital, technology, and talents that meet the functional positioning of the BDA will be introduced to create an international industrial cooperation zone with a sound industrial structure and strong research and development capabilities.

In addition to this, the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office will assist the BDA to provide services and open green channels for foreign employees to enter and return to Beijing, and will ensure that the foreign language signs of all venues will be covered.

According to the supporting policies issued by the BDA, the area will expand its overseas investment network, promote the construction of overseas workstations in France and Germany, and accelerate the establishment of overseas workstations in other countries and regions.

The BDA will also improve the international level of the Sino-French Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park and the Sino-Japanese Youth Innovation Park, support the construction of "digital research and development and innovation centers", and establish 5G, big data, AI, and information security innovation laboratories.

For eligible regional headquarters newly registered or newly relocated after January 1, 2021, the BDA will also provide settlement incentives, space guarantees, and overseas talent support.

Meanwhile, the BDA will also introduce renowned overseas high-quality support capital to cooperate with the area to conduct "Qualified Domestic Limited Partners (QDLP)", "Qualified Foreign Limited Partners (QFLP)" and other business pilots; establish a foreigners' entry-exit service hall and work permit acceptance point in China.

The Sino-Finnish cooperative education project of the International Department of the BDA School of the High School Attached to Renmin University will also be promoted.
