Changziying town first replaced vacant land with trees and grass.

It has successfully built 15 green spaces, such as Niufang Wetland Park, Xiaoheifu Wetland Park, and Fenghe Riverside Ecological Park.

The town also implemented high-standard plain afforestation and temporary greening of more than 22,000 mu (1466.66 hectares)of land, as well as boosted its forest coverage rate to 38.83 percent, greatly improving its environment.

Every day, in-depth cleaning and washing operations are carried out on 64 roads in the town, including back streets and alleys. About 88,000 meters of street are cleaned daily, and the total area that is cleaned amounts to around 615,000 square meters.

To ensure air quality, Changziying has introduced intelligent management and control methods, as well as installed PM 2.5 and TSP monitoring equipment in four areas to conduct real-time monitoring of air quality.

If air polllution exceeds recommended levels, the equipment will immediately sound an alarm and upload data to the town. Then, the town will dispatch a working team to investigate and solve the pollution problem. With the concerted efforts of residents and environmentalists, PM2.5 and TSP concentrations in Changziying have steadily declined.
