Dozens of enterprises in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) directly or indirectly participated in the Winter Olympics, using new technologies to achieve new breakthroughs.

Walking into the Capital Indoor Stadium, panoramic dome cameras are all over the park, providing world-leading security and achieving 360-degree coverage without dead ends.

All of the venues use intelligent water and electricity meter monitoring systems, which are intelligently linked with the buildings' monitoring systems so that water and electricity consumption conditions are clear at a glance. This is expected to save more than one million yuan ($158,300) in water and electricity bills every year.

China Construction Second Engineering Bureau undertook a landscape improvement project for a landmark tower in the Yanqing competition area of the Winter Olympics, establishing a building information model (BIM) team to install a large Olympic ring with a total weight of over 160 tons on the tower.

The high altitude, complex climate and steep terrain in the Yanqing competition area often affected communication signals.

To ensure the accurate transmission of data, the Beidou pseudolite base station developed by Beijing ZeroG Technology was installed and deployed in Qipanliang, Jinjiazhuang and other areas, realizing full coverage of Beidou/GPS navigation satellite signals.

Qi Anxin established 11 Winter Olympics support teams and set up 20 groups, including a product command team, front-line command team, vulnerability intelligence team, and support team, as well as hundreds of Winter Olympics network security guards, to protect the network security of the Winter Olympics.

Schneider Electric upgraded its intelligent hardware and software products to ensure safe and stable power supplies. For example, the use of green gas medium-pressure equipment to replace traditional sulfur hexafluoride with dry air greatly reduced greenhouse gas emissions. In the field of green logistics, many enterprises in the BDA like JD Logistics provided logistics services.
