4 E-Town companies make it to 2022 Fortune China 500

The 2022 Fortune China 500 was released, evaluating the performance and achievements of the world's largest listed Chinese companies in the past year.

The total operating income of these 500 listed companies reached 62 trillion yuan ($9.17 trillion), accounting for more than half of China's GDP in 2021. 

Four companies from Beijing E-Town made the list. They are JD Group, AviChina Industry & Technology, China Gold, and Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC).

JD Group entered the top 10 with a revenue of 951.6 billion yuan. 

From last year's 11th ranking to this year's 7th place, JD not only achieved a new breakthrough in ranking, but also became the only private enterprise among the top 10 companies this year.

JD has invested more than 80 billion yuan to build its supply chain infrastructure, storing 10 million stock-keeping units (SKU) commodities and operating a digital-intelligent supply chain of more than 1,400 warehouses. 

AviChina Industry & Technology ranked 228th on the list with a revenue of nearly 60.3 billion yuan. 

Its main products include various types of helicopters, trainers, general aircraft aviation parts, avionics and accessories.

SMIC ranked 352 with a revenue of 35.1 billion yuan. 

As one of the world's leading integrated circuit wafer foundries, SMIC regards independent technological innovation as its driving force. 

The company's industry-leading manufacturing capabilities and service support, can provide global clients with wafer foundry and technical services at different technology nodes from 0.35 micron to 14 nanometers. 

China Gold showed its soft power in cultural and creative industries, ranking 238th with a revenue of 56.1 billion yuan.
