Updated: 2022-11-11

If you walk into the Beijing E-Town enterprise IAT Automobile Technology Co, what catches your eyes will be its integrated intelligent connected vehicle (ICV).

The interior of the car body can be equipped with a skateboard chassis and autonomous driving technology, which can realize an intelligent cockpit and intelligent driving.

As the first listed independent automobile design company in China, and having developed in Beijing E-Town, IAT has taken the lead in the development of complete vehicles and core parts of R&D platforms, and has successfully developed nearly 400 vehicle models for nearly 100 customers.

To create a larger space and ensure better and faster development, IAT Auto built the IAT Automobile Technology Park with the support of Beijing E-Town.

In the past year, Beijing E-Town has also helped the National New Energy Vehicle Technology Innovation Center's vehicle energy efficiency laboratory and environmental simulation laboratory enter trial operations, and has built four national-leading test platforms for simulation testing, mapping, network connection, and information security.

Daimler's second global R&D center, which received a total investment of 1.1 billion yuan ($154.55 million), has been put into use. The projects of other leading new energy vehicle companies, such as Great Wall, have also been implemented, and key intelligent and connected projects, like Automotive Intelligence and Control of China, have been signed and formulated. The hydrogen energy industry development plan has been implemented and the establishment of a hydrogen energy industry alliance has been prepared.

Since the beginning of this year, Beijing E-Town has stepped up efforts in new energy and ICVs, and is moving towards an industrial cluster of automobile, artificial intelligence, Internet of things and smart travel.
