"Three 100" key projects for Beijing in 2023 were announced recently. This includes 23  projects from the Beijing E-Town, including 13 new ones, with a total investment of 105.3 billion yuan ($15.21 billion).

In 2023, Beijing will continue to implement the "Three 100" key projects, meaning 100 projects in science and technology innovation and cutting-edge industries, 100 infrastructure projects, and 100 livelihood improvement projects.

The "Three 100" projects are seeking to expand  investment to promote new demands and drive growth in areas such as the   south part of Beijing and "three science cities and one hi-tech area."  

As the main platform for the construction of Beijing International Science and Technology Innovation Center, Beijing E-Town has performed well in the 100 major projects in science and technology innovation and cutting-edge industries. Sixteen projects cover  the four leading industries and emerging industries.

New projects in the new energy intelligent automobile industry continue to emerge. 

Singu Keller will accelerate the production of high-end passenger car net shaping products. The project is expected to be completed next year.

Beijing Benz is about to launch a new model, and the new electric drive platform will also settle in Beijing.

It is also worth mentioning that the phase 3.0 construction of the high-level autonomous driving demonstration zone in Beijing will continue to advance this year.

In the field of biotechnology and the big health industry, Beijing E-Town will start construction on three projects this year, including the Beijing Bio New Vaccine Industrialization Base project, the Kawin Technology Antibody Production Base. At the same time, it will   continue to promote the construction of the Pharmaron formulation development and CDMO platform.

Industrialization is the key to the stable and high-quality development of biopharmaceutical enterprises. 

After years of accumulation, the biotechnology and big health industry in the Beijing E-Town has crossed the simple R&D innovation stage and is entering a concentrated outbreak stage of industrialization. 

The total investment of the new vaccine industrialization base project of Beijing Bio is 3.5 billion yuan. It has a construction scale of about 165,000 square meters, including a quality assurance comprehensive office building, an antibody drug production workshop, an independent packaging workshop, and a storage and transportation building, which is expected to start construction in the fourth quarter of this year.
