Globally leading ultrasound medicine large model to be released

Updated: 2025-05-28

Recently, eSonic Medical, an enterprise in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town), revealed that their globally leading large-scale universal ultrasound medical model, Dolphin-V1.0, will be officially released in June and July this year.

This large model will be deployed on the fastest plane wave ultrasound equipment, the ePascal Dongfeng series, globally, advancing ultrasound imaging technology from "image-assisted diagnosis" to a new era of "intelligent body diagnosis".

ESonic Medical is dedicated to the intelligent innovation of ultrasound medical imaging technology, with "AI + ultrasound" as its core, constructing a full-scenario solution covering research and development, production, clinical practice, and education to drive the industry's intelligent development. With the continuous advancement of AI technology and the expanding application scenarios, leveraging its profound technological expertise, eSonic Medical has been deeply involved in the field of artificial intelligence, increasing research and development investment continuously, achieving multiple core technological breakthroughs, thereby supporting the efficient operation of Dolphin-V1.0 and enhancing its practical application effectiveness.

According to academician Jacques Souquet, a member of the French National Academy of Technologies and co-founder of eSonic Medical, the Dolphin-V1.0, in conjunction with eSonic Medical's ultrasound equipment, can achieve ultra-high-speed data acquisition. By combining GPU computing power with plane wave ultrasound technology, it achieves a data transmission rate of 8G/S and a capture speed of 25,000 frames per second, which is more than 200 times that of traditional ultrasound devices. It is the first to achieve bidirectional intelligent human-machine interaction on an ultrasound system, enhancing operational efficiency through voice commands, gesture recognition, and real-time feedback systems. It is equipped with an image enhancement system that significantly improves image clarity based on ultra-wide bandwidth and intelligent computation. It can achieve high-precision quantitative measurements, with tissue hardness ranging up to 1,210 KPa, providing a wide range of Bio-Marker data resources for large-scale modeling.

At the clinical application level, Dolphin-V1.0 relies on its multimodal ultrasound database covering various parts of the human body. From data acquisition to clinical feedback and the full-cycle AI training system, it demonstrates a reliable diagnostic level and broad application prospects.

From the continuous emergence of innovative achievements in enterprise artificial intelligence to the overall industry ecosystem, Beijing E-Town is vigorously promoting the comprehensive incubation, city-wide application, and comprehensive empowerment of artificial intelligence technology. By the end of 2025, the area aims to build a leading national artificial intelligence industry ecosystem cluster, with over 600 core enterprises achieving breakthroughs and the industry scale exceeding 80 billion yuan ($11.11 billion).
