A delegation from Enterprise Singapore, a Singaporean government agency that works with companies to build up their capabilities, recently visited the Innovation and Operations Center at Beijing's High-Level Autonomous Driving Demonstration Zone in Beijing E-Town.

Guided by staff, they toured the exhibition hall, to explore autonomous vehicle models and technology demonstrations, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the integrated vehicle-road-cloud system being developed in the high-level autonomous driving demonstration zone.

As the visit progressed, delegation members were very impressed and felt a strong sense of futurism. They observed the implementation of various demonstration scenarios, including unmanned delivery, unmanned shuttle services, unmanned retail, and also felt the vibrant energy of the industrial cluster.

The sense of futurism extended beyond the exhibition hall. While test-riding an intelligent connected passenger bus, delegation members saw autonomous vehicles and AI inspection unmanned vehicles navigating the roads through the windows, offering them a direct experience of the coexistence of city and technology.

As of now, the total road testing mileage for autonomous vehicles in the demonstration zone has exceeded 40 million kilometers. A total of 37 companies and over 1,100 autonomous vehicles have received temporary licenses for testing and trial use. Eight major application scenarios, including unmanned shuttle services, Robotaxi, unmanned delivery, and autonomous sanitation, have been gradually implemented. Additionally, autonomous driving shuttle test scenarios have been opened at key locations such as Daxing Airport and Beijing South Railway Station.

During the visit, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on smart mobility and the cultivation of future industries. A Singaporean representative noted that Singapore has always emphasized connecting with global innovation resources, and the explorations and achievements of the Beijing E-Town offer new insights for expanding cooperation.

"We look forward to more bilateral interactions in the future to jointly drive greater breakthroughs in technological innovation and industrial development," the representative said.
