Updated: 2025-09-03

The 2026 King Pro League (KPL) Rookie Training Camp recently kicked off at the Beijing Smart Esports Event Center located in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town).

A total of 100 young players with dreams of pursuing a career in esports have gathered here to embark on a crucial training phase of their professional journey.

At the opening ceremony of the training camp, a KPL league representative provided a detailed introduction to the league's development history and the rules of the camp. The 100 participants in this camp will go through five stages: peak matches, random team matches, group confirmation matches, fixed team matches, and the little silver dragon official stage.

From August 25 to the end of October, they will face rigorous daily standards and a stringent elimination process, undergoing both technical and mental challenges. The final winners will represent the Youth Training Track at the 2025 Honor of Kings Challenger Cup.

In recent years, Beijing E-Town has consistently prioritized the development of integrated cultural and technological industries, such as gaming esports and advanced audiovisual sectors. The area has continuously introduced supportive policies and improved industry infrastructure. From the construction of esports venues to the introduction of industry chain enterprises, and from talent cultivation to the hosting of events, the strategy closely aligns with the core integration of "sports + technology," injecting strong momentum into the esports industry.

Currently, Beijing E-Town has reached a cooperation agreement with the Capital University of Physical Education And Sports to further develop the E-Sports Park, the location of the Beijing Smart E-sports Event Center, into a dual platform of "scenario operation + industry-education integration." By hosting high-level esports events, not only the players can hone their competitive skills in real-world arenas, the area will also strengthen cooperation in industry-education integration to seamlessly align professional knowledge with industry needs, continuously enhancing the "E-Town E-sports" brand and jointly creating an innovative demonstration hub for the "sports + technology" industry.
