In 10 years, the number of market entities in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) increased from less than 4,000 in 2010 to 33,000 in 2020, an average annual growth rate of 24 percent.

The total regional production value of 2020 reached 204.54 billion yuan ($31.13 billion), but the BDA's output value was only 78.26 billion yuan 10 years ago.

In addition, the BDA has formed a complete housing supply system for employees and entrepreneurs.

High-end automobile and new energy automobile key parts industrial park

At the beginning of 2019, Gestamp, an auto parts company in the BDA, urgently needed to build a 40,000 square-meter factory. 

If the factory were not completed in October 2019, a batch of equipment would be stranded in the port.

To solve this problem, the company settled in the BDA's car "super factory" in 2019. It only took 9 months from the start of construction of this factory to the first phase of delivery and the settlement of enterprises.

Over the past ten years, the BDA has continued to streamline administration and delegate power, improve regulation, and upgrade services, and has spared no effort to optimize the business environment.

Ten years of development has not only added more than 20,000 companies, but also formed three cutting-edge industrial clusters, each of which is worth about 100 billion yuan.

Nearly 20 listed companies and around 10 unicorn enterprises represented by JD Digital have settled in the BDA.
