BDA builds gravitational field for global talents

(Beijing E-Town) Updated: 2021-07-30

A selection conference for "Kylin" talents in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) was held in the Diamond Hall of the E-Town Fortune Center on July 16. "Kylin" was a type of ancient Chinese servant and as such refers to exceptionally skilled talents.

One hundred and sixty-six "Kylin" talents and nearly 2,000 outstanding talents overall appeared together.

The intensity and breadth of talent selection in the BDA this year is unprecedented. A total of 166 "Kylin" talents were selected, increasing the "Kylin" talent team to 694, and 1899 outstanding talents were chosen.

In recent years, the BDA has attached great importance to talent work, and gradually established a talent policy system.

Classification and grading policies are provided surrounding "reward, support, cultivation, service, accommodation, medical care, education, settlement, travel and honor".

Besides, a talent development group has been established to offer talents one-stop integrated services such as medical treatment, travel, training, and entrepreneurship through market-oriented methods.

Beijing's first international "one-window" talent service hall that realizes acceptance and simultaneous evidence collection for foreigners' work and residence permits has been set up.

The constructed international talent community integrates residential, office, medical, education and supporting service functions.

Currently, the total number of talents in the BDA exceeds 299,000, and the contribution rate of talents is higher than Beijing's average level by 59.32 percent.

The BDA now has 38 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

Seventy-six people were selected into the national overseas high-level talent program and 142 were included in the municipal overseas high-level talent plan.
