BDA forges ahead during 14th Five-Year Plan period

The Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) recently released its development scheme for during the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) period and its long-term goals for 2035.

During the period, the BDA will implement an urban renewal plan, using various methods such as government purchases, repurchases, and independent upgrades to revitalize land. 

It will strive to revitalize more than 5 square kilometers of industrial land to provide high-quality industry development space by 2025.

During the same period, the BDA will also actively gather entrepreneurial and innovative talents, establish a "Talent Innovation Academy", and attract more high-value patent cultivation talents, experimental technical talents, technology and financial talents, to gather and cultivate a group of professional and innovative service talents covering intellectual property, finance, law and other field. Through this, age, education and work experience will no longer be a stumbling block to entrepreneurship.

Additionally, 90 percent of government services will be offered in one stop, and other application materials and handling procedures will be streamlined.

Beijing's first one-million-square-meter international talent community will be built. Including the establishment of foreign education and an international medical service system that is in line with international standards. This will allow high-level international schools and hospitals to serve talents located here.
