Students greet new year with calligraphy, paper-cuttings

The BDA School of the High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China held a calligraphy carnival on Dec 24.

Hundreds of students practiced calligraphy at their desks and created unique works of art to celebrate the arrival of a new year.

At the activity site, the students were enthusiastic, spreading red rice paper and splashing ink. Soon, various calligraphic styles such as running script, cursive, and seals appeared one by one.

The round and festive character fu appeared on the paper, expressing the students' wishes for good luck in the coming year.

It is not only the calligraphy works that add to the festive atmosphere of the campus, but also the beautiful paper-cuts hanging between the floors.

At the beginning of this activity, art teachers also organized 100 students to cut creative window grilles.

Under the guidance of the art teachers, the students used their scissors and paper to create patterns with beautiful meanings.
