Beijing E-Town intelligent manufacturing lights up Winter Olympics

Updated: 2022-02-25

The Winter Olympics came to an end at the National Stadium on Feb 20. The five rings and snowflake torch at the closing ceremony not only let the world see the Olympic spirit, but also let the globe feel the charm of Chinese technology.

To provide guarantees for the Winter Olympics, Schneider Electric upgraded its intelligent hardware and software products to ensure safe and stable power supplies.

For example, in Yanqing alpine skiing, the BlokSeT new generation of pre-intelligence complete sets of equipment were used. The National Convention Center used Okken's new-generation pre-intelligence low-voltage A set of equipment.

The Snow Torch and Super Ground Screen at the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics were made by BOE.

At the moment when the torch is lit, behind the rapidly changing and perfectly synchronized display screen, BOE's AIoT technology system and self-developed synchronous/asynchronous compatible signaling system were used. Asynchronous centralized control can convert large-scale video in a very short time. The content is distributed quickly and synchronous centralized control ensures that the 102 double-sided screens can achieve millisecond-level response.

During the Winter Olympics, a number of 8K ultra-high-definition large screens were set up throughout the city, making the Winter Olympics visible everywhere. These large screens were constructed and operated by Beijing Ultra HD Video Technology Co., Ltd., which is led by Shangyicheng (Beijing) Technology and Culture Group Co., Ltd.

Not only digital media, but the use of digital currency, virtual reality, digital twins, smart medical care, and glass-based conference systems for autonomous driving started during the Winter Olympics. These technologies will be further promoted and applied after the games.

The Capital Indoor Stadium, which was built in 1968, was rebuilt by China Construction Electronic Information Technology Co., Ltd., an enterprise in the BDA. From smart security to energy consumption supervision, it is capable of hosting international events.

Goldwind Technology provided a "carbon neutral" solution for powering the Winter Olympic venues. FUTURUS realized the construction of augmented reality scene for the Winter Olympics with its integrated intelligent holographic solution.

A creative light and shadow show by Beijing Landsky Light Technology made the Beijing Winter Olympics more beautiful, while Qi Anxin aided in the information system and network security of the event.
