BDA's hi-tech industries prosper

Updated: 2022-03-01

At the beginning of 2022, research and development achievements have surged, intelligent production lines have been enhanced, and the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) has continued to promote the growth of cutting-edge industries.

"On Jan 25 this year, our self-developed full knee joint surgery robot was approved by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) and became the first knee surgery robot approved by the NMPA in China," said Zhang Changyong, CEO of Hurwr Surgery.

Since 2022, the BDA has added 84 new products and 50 new technologies, and its research and development achievements have continued to emerge.

Beijing Brio Technology, an intelligent manufacturing benchmark enterprise in the city, has 11 SMT lines and nearly 30 processes.

Through the modular combination of processes and the introduction of robots in partial production lines, rapid production can be realized. In the sample delivery stage, compared with the average market lead time of three to four weeks, Brio Technology can deliver products within two weeks.

"According to the production status in January, we expect the output value to increase by more than 10 percent year-on-year in the first quarter," said Wei Linhe, deputy general manager of the company.

In the BDA, there are many companies with similar production scenarios. The domestic and overseas demand for components such as SMC pneumatic components has increased. It is estimated that its output target of 1.85 million components in the first quarter can be achieved ahead of time.

SMIC and Datang Group Holdings entered into a framework agreement for chip processing services. It expected that revenues in the first quarter of this year will increase by 15 to 17 percent from the previous quarter.

In the process of inspecting key enterprises in the BDA, Beijing Benz reported problems encountered in production and the BDA’s Operators Cooperation Bureau coordinated to set up a fixed point for nucleic acid testing and provide daily door-to-door services.

"Now we can complete the nucleic acid test in the factory area, which will not affect the normal production and operation arrangements, which provides a strong guarantee for us to sprint for the first quarter," remarked Zhang Lin, director of Beijing Benz Occupational Health and Medical Services.

At the same time, the BDA has also taken multiple measures to provide precise services to enterprises through scheduling meetings and policy seminars, and has stimulated production and operation of enterprises by strengthening policies.

Before and after Spring Festival, the BDA issued incentive policies for high-end industries and successively launched special awards for output value growth, industrial coordinated development, and corporate R&D institutions.
