Smart car of the future is a robot

Pixel-J recently released the latest progress of automotive robots: The SIMUCar -- or software integrated simulation prototype car -- has completed the 2.0 version upgrade of the car robot development model.

The Pixel-J car robot is equipped with Qualcomm SA8295P, a smart cabin chip with the strongest computing power.

"What we build is not a car or an electric car in the traditional sense," said Xia Yiping, CEO of Pixel-J. He made an imaginative metaphor, "The future of unmanned cars or smart cars in the future is actually a four-wheeled robot".

The auto robot development model based on the two-line R&D of software and hardware decoupling has completed the upgrade of version 2.0, realizing the complete integration of intelligent driving, intelligent cabin software and JET1.0.

JET includes self-developed electronic and electrical architecture EEA and vehicle Operating system SOA integration.

This means that the "brain" of the Pixel-J car robot has initially possessed the ability to "freely move".

When mass production is completed in 2023, it will be able to provide users with a safe and reliable autonomous driving experience instantly, rather than providing the service through OTA (over-the-air technology) method after delivery.

Currently, Pixel-J has decided to hold its first large-scale brand event "JIDU ROBODay" on the eve of the Beijing Auto Show on April 18 this year, and is set to release its first car robot concept car at the Beijing Auto Show.
