"Our business has skyrocketed. By the end of March, our order volume had reached 164 percent of that of last year!" according to Beijing Chietom Technology, an enterprise in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA). 

"During the pandemic, the transformation and upgrading of factory automation has accelerated. The large volume of downstream domestic industrial robots has directly benefited us, and after two years of testing by robot manufacturers, the repurchase rate and purchase volume are also increasing. The annual production goal of 100,000 units by 2023 maybe reached this year." said a staff member of the enterprise.

The experience of Chietom Technology is not an exception in the BDA. In the first quarter of this year, the robotics and intelligent manufacturing industries achieved an output value of 13.49 billion yuan ($2 billion), a year-on-year increase of 26.6 percent, a record high.

Based on FC-AE-1553 high-reliability communication technology, Beijing Tasson Technology develops domestic optical fiber high-reliability chips. But in order to achieve mass production Tasson integrates the nearby industrial chain and supply chain, cooperates with enterprises in the BDA, and entrusts other parties to conduct processing and production. 

Meanwhile, Tasson has also built its own factory in the BDA, which is currently in the stage of small batch trial productions, and it is expected that the production capacity will reach 30,000 units of welded circuit boards per year, and 6,000 sets of complete machine assembly and debugging tests per year. 

Relying on a stable supply chain, Tasson received 15 million orders in the first quarter of this year, and is expected to reach 50 million in the second quarter, further activating the joint development of upstream and downstream enterprises.

Currently, the BDA is encouraging enterprises to innovate independently and improve upstream and downstream industrial support. The future of the robotics and intelligent manufacturing industries here is promising.
