Warm stations for outdoor workers in Beijing E-Town increase to 118

Updated: 2023-03-14

Amid applause and cheers, the "Warm Station" in the Yinghai Manor community of Beijing E-Town's Boxing street held its unveiling ceremony on Mar 2.

More than 60 people, including delivery persons of SF Express, JD Logistics, and Rabbit Express, new employment groups, community residents, and volunteers, participated in the unveiling ceremony.

"Outdoor workers such as delivery persons often work long hours and under great intensity. Considering their difficulties and needs, the community took the initiative to build a warm station, allowing them to have a place to 'warm up when it's cold, cool down when it's hot, drink water when thirsty, rest when tired, and use medicine when injured,'" said Zhang Yanhong, secretary of the Yinghai Manor Community Party branch.

The station is located in the police room of the northeast gate of the Yinghaihai Manor community, equipped with water dispensers, medical kits, multi-functional power sockets, charging tools, and other facilities, which not only meet the basic and emergency needs of outdoor workers, but also have leisure and cultural areas, such as a reading corner.
