The Beijing Smart Esports Event Center, located at No. 6 Jiachuang 2nd Road, Beijing E-Town Opto-Mechatronics Base, will open on May 19. 

This is another key municipal project completed and unveiled by Beijing E-Town's integration of science, technology, culture, and sports industry after the announcement of the opening of the Beijing Smart Convergence Media Innovation Center.

The center is positioned as a "new type of science, technology, and culture integrated park with esports events as the core." 

It has several unique features. With nearly 68,000 square meters of space, it includes the JDG Intel Esports Center, the Esports Industry Comprehensive Building, and the Theme Square. 

The JDG Intel Esports Center combines multiple modes of "home venue + office + training base" and the main broadcast hall can accommodate up to 2,000 spectators. 

As the home venue for one of China's top esports clubs, it is currently the only local esports venue in Beijing. 

On its northwest façade, there is the largest outdoor naked-eye 3D screen in Beijing, with an area of 852 square meters. The indoor space has P3 high-definition full-color LED screen with a total area of over 680 square meters.

It is worth mentioning that the JDG team under Beijing E-Town's JD Gaming Esports (Beijing) Culture Communication Co won the championship of the 2023 League of Legends Professional League (LPL) Spring Split with a score of 3-1 in the finals held on April 15. 

This is their second consecutive championship in the league, and the third time in the club's history to bring home the LPL championship trophy. They will also participate in the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational as the top seed of LPL.

With the upcoming home games of JDG team in the LPL, the event center will focus on esports activities and enrich the content of esports events to provide the best viewing experience for the public.

In recent years, Beijing E-Town has been expanding the space for science, technology, and culture integrated industry, supporting the development of high-tech audiovisual and gaming esports companies, attracting leading companies to gather rapidly, including JD Gaming, Excellent Era Gaming.

Nearly 500,000 square meters of industrial parks have also been built, such as China (Beijing) High-Tech Audiovisual Industry Park, Beijing Smart Esports Event Center, Beijing Smart Convergence Media Innovation Center, Beijing New Technology Application Center for Online Games.

In the future, the event center will be built into the first S-level esports arena in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the first esports museum in China, the "5G+8K" esports event cloud broadcasting center, the esports industry education training and standardization center, and the esports industry livestreaming sharing center. 

Meanwhile, the National Esports Administrative Committee will also establish its presence in the park, introducing a series of esports businesses such as clubs, event operations, program and brokerage, we-media promotion, education and training, and industry incubation platforms, building a world-class esports industry space.
