CICV 2023 opens in Beijing E-Town

The four-day 2023 International (ETown) Intelligent and Connected Vehicles Science and Technology Week and the 10th International Intelligent Connected Vehicle Technology Annual Conference (CICV 2023) opened at Beijing ETrong International Convention and Exhibition Center in Beijing E-Town on May 16.

Kong Lei, director of the Beijing E-Town Administrative Committee, stated that the Beijing High-level Autonomous Driving Demonstration Zone has currently established a city-level engineering test platform and issued ten innovative policies, granting licenses to more than 600 autonomous driving vehicles, and attracting nearly a hundred innovative companies in the field of intelligent connected vehicles (ICVs) to settle and develop in Beijing E-Town. 

This year, the demonstration zone will expand its area by constructing an additional 100 square kilometers within Beijing E-Town, gradually completing the construction of a 500-square-kilometer demonstration zone throughout the city, and accelerating the development of the industrial ecosystem for ICVs.

At the opening ceremony, the 2022 Rao Bin Medal of China Automotive Industry, the 2022 China Society of Automotive Engineers of China (China SAE) Science and Technology Award, and the 2022 China SAE Fellowship Conferring Ceremony were held, along with the release of 26 nominated awards and 10 gold award projects for the 2023 innovation and application of ICVs and cutting-edge technologies. 

Among them, the "ICV Cloud Control Basic Platform" project by the National Innovation Center of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles in Beijing E-Town, was awarded the gold award.

Meanwhile, the inaugural ceremony of the industry's first ICV Data Governance Innovation Center was also held at the opening ceremony.

CICV 2023 is organized by the China Society of Automotive Engineers, the National Intelligent Connected Vehicle Innovation Center, the Beijing E-Town Administrative Committee, and Tsinghua University Suzhou Automotive Research Institute, and hosted by the China Industry Innovation Alliance for the Intelligent and Connected Vehicles. 

During the event, there was one closed-door meeting, three theme summits, 18 specialized seminars, nearly 300 presentations, and a series of activities including the 2023 ICVs Innovative Application and Frontier Technology Release, and the exhibition of innovation achievements in the ICV industry.
