The Beijing International Open Source Community, the first and only one of its kind in China, was unveiled at the summit.

"The establishment of the Beijing International Open Source Community will help enhance Beijing's influence in the global open source ecosystem. It marks China's active participation in global open source governance, bringing together global developers for collaborative construction and sharing, and accelerating technological innovation through an open source model," remarked one industry expert.

With Tongming Lake Information City as the carrier and the OpenAtom Open Source Foundation as the basis, Beijing E-Town builds the infrastructure of open source code hosting platforms, and deploys foundational and forward-looking open source projects.

During the opening ceremony, an initiative was launched to establish the Open Source Education Committee and Cloud Native Working Committee, and the chairman of the OpenAtom Open Source Foundation signed contracts with representatives of 20 project donors.

As one of the achievements, an academician from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology,  deputy director of Beijing E-Town Administrative Committee, together with representatives from companies such as Alibaba, Huawei, and Tencent, launched the Collective Intelligence Paradigm project and the AtomGit code collaboration platform for testing and deployment.

AtomGit will provide developers with a series of plug-ins ready to use and advanced code review models, enabling high availability, high performance, and secure code hosting and storage services.

During the summit, more than 20 sub-forums, including the Open Source Grand Model, were organized.

A large-scale open source exhibition with an area of 9,300 square meters was set up, featuring 62 participating companies and more than 30 participating open source projects. Project roadshows were conducted, and a "Developers' Night" party was held.

The summit is organized by the OpenAtom Open Source Foundation, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, and the Beijing E-Town Administrative Committee.
