Updated: 2023-07-04

The construction site of the Samson Controls (China) Co Phase III Construction Project has lately been teeming with busy construction workers.

As one of the key district-level projects in Beijing E-Town in 2023, it has a total investment of 25 million yuan ($3.45 million), covers an area of 5,500 square meters and has a building area of 10,000 square meters.

It mainly undertakes the functions of processing, manufacturing, and research and development of Samson China's intelligent control products.

"We are a German-funded enterprise specializing in the production of industrial control valves. The Phase III project is not an independent production unit, but an expansion layout we carried out to continue to seize investment opportunities in China," said Qi Zhuan, general manager of Samson China.

Previously, Samson China had already invested 60 million yuan to purchase intelligent logistics management systems and equipment, and led the intelligent transformation and upgrading of Phase I traditional assembly workshops with the Phase II Intelligent Control Center project.

To seize the market opportunities in China, Samson China has promoted the Phase III project based on the previous projects to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of intelligent manufacturing.

Samson China's production capacity has quadrupled in the past decade. In the process, due to the implementation of intelligent manufacturing, its sales revenue increased from 100 million euros to 150 million euros in just one year.

Therefore, the construction of the Phase III project is imperative. After completion, it will not only realize intelligent production but also introduce German research and development centers into China to carry out research and development work in areas such as network communication and software development, with the aim of establishing a foothold in the Chinese market and promoting international market expansion.

Behind this, the accelerated implementation of the project is also inseparable from the favorable business environment.

"Since obtaining the land last year, with the support of Beijing E-Town, the project has been completed from scratch in just 10 months," said Qi Zhuan.

Initially, Samson China faced the dilemma of expanding without available space. After Beijing E-Town learned the needs of the enterprise, through multi-party coordination, a suitable site was provided within just one month.

"Policies like 'land acquisition and immediate construction' and 'leasing before transferring ownership' have reduced a lot of approval processes, saved time, and enabled rapid investment implementation." Qi added.
