"I knew there would be an 8K big screen live broadcast today!"

On the evening of Sept 23 at 8 pm, the 19th Asian Games opening ceremony was launched in Hangzhou city, Zhejiang province.

Shang E-Town Group, a State-owned enterprise in Beijing E-Town, deployed 16 "5G+8K" big screens across the area, with six of them presenting a high-definition feast for citizens.

At 7:45 pm, the 8K big screen located at the northwest corner of the Libao Square in Beijing E-Town had started welcoming residents who came to watch the Asian Games opening ceremony.

"Every time there's a major event, there's always a live broadcast here, so I knew there would definitely be one today, and brought my child here to wait," said Mrs. Kong, a resident living near Libao Square.

As the teams from various countries entered, the children around Mrs. Kong counted and identified, "Thailand, Indonesia, Kazakhstan..." "Yay, I remembered them all!"

In front of the big screen, more and more children gathered to watch the opening ceremony, as their voices naming the countries, flags, and distinctive features echoed.

Illuminated by the big screen, the night in E-Town seemed to connect with the excitement of the opening ceremony unfolding over a thousand kilometers away.

This is not the first time the "5G+8K" big screens have attracted large crowds due to their stunning visual projection.

Xie Shuai, technical director of Beijing Ultra High-Definition Video Technology Co, a subsidiary of Shang E-Town Group, said the "5G+8K" big screens rely on EUHT (Enhanced Ultra High Throughput) - 5G technology, which can achieve 8K ultra-high-definition live broadcasts without the need for laying cables.

On the other hand, the big screens themselves have a resolution of 7680x4352 pixels, which can achieve point-to-point restoration display of super 8K resolution.

"Even under strong sunlight during the day, it can ensure image clarity and even make the video colors more realistic. When night falls, the big screen's 'perfectionist' picture quality will provide the audience with an immersive experience," Xie added.
