Lantern Festival in Beijing E-Town opens like this

As the saying goes, "The New Year is not over until the fifteenth day of the Lunar New Year." 

Let's take a look at various Lantern Festival activities in the streets and communities of Beijing E-Town.

Ronghua Street

On the eve of Lantern Festival, the Tianhua Garden Erli Community in Ronghua Street, Beijing E-Town, held a "Joyful Lantern Festival" celebration activity. Over 60 residents gathered happily, guessed lantern riddles, made lanterns, identified grains, and enjoyed traditional folk customs with joyous laughter.

In addition, volunteers living in the jurisdiction of Ronghua Street received sweet glutinous rice balls known as "yuanxiao". They were prepared by Ronghua Street as a gift for the volunteers, and given out in 1681 boxes.

Boxing Street

On Feb 23, the Yicheng Mingyuan Community in Boxing Street, held a fun and rich festival activity to celebrate Lantern Festival with the community residents. The event attracted the participation of nearly 200 residents.

At 9:30 a.m., the lantern riddle activity set up at the corridor started, right on time. The festive vibes were strong here, with colorful lanterns embellishing every part of the corridor, and lantern riddles hung beside the lanterns swaying in the wind.

On the same day, the Tongtai Wenyuan Community in Boxing Street kicked off the celebration of Lantern Festival and a splendid temple fair activity.

In the afternoon of Feb 23, the service station in Boxing Street was very lively. Elderly people in the jurisdiction, along with station social workers and volunteers, made dumplings, yuanxiao and lanterns, and guessed lantern riddles, sharing stories of Lantern Festival from their childhood.

The street also held a "Neighborly Affection and Joyful Lantern Festival" theme park event, allowing residents to visit the temple fair at their doorstep.
