AI servers bring new opportunities

In the second half of last year, Chaoyun Digital Technology Group Co, or SuperCloud, a computing power company in Beijing E-Town, released a high-performance AI server called SuperCloud R8868 G13, based on the design of the fourth-generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors.

This product adopts heterogeneous acceleration architecture, featuring extreme scalability, high performance, reliability and easy maintenance. 

It focuses on applications such as large model training, large model inference, HPC, deep learning computation and rendering, and it has gained high recognition from clients in the internet and data center sectors, with continuous orders coming in since the beginning of the year.

According to the IDC China Quarterly Server Tracker, 2023H1 report, published by the International Data Corporation (IDC), SuperCloud stood in eighth place among Chinese brands in overall sales in the first half of 2023 among Chinese brands, joining the top 10 server suppliers in China and becoming the fastest-growing Chinese server manufacturer.

"The achievement behind this report cannot be separated from the top-notch business environment and innovative industrial environment in Beijing E-Town," said Fang Yuzhen, president of SuperCloud. 

Fang said that since last year, SuperCloud has received various types of policy support, such as rewards for value-added growth in the first quarter of 2023, subsidies for stabilizing employment, and funding for project implementation, providing guarantees for the company's development, and firming up the confidence in its business growth.

Supercloud is about to release a new generation of AI servers—the R3418 server.

The R3418 server boasts outstanding multidimensional computing performance and an extremely elastic architecture for expansion. 

It deploys eight high-performance GPUs within a 4U space and can switch topology according to application scenarios. It is suitable for complex application scenarios such as deep learning, metaverse, AIGC (Generative Artificial Intelligence), and AI+Science (AI+Science intersection).
